About Top Tuition by Hamzah | Qualified GCSE & A Level Biology and Chemistry Tutor
The journey to personalised learning
I started Top Tuition by Hamzah because I wanted to provide students with the kind of personalised support that isn’t always possible in a busy classroom or in standard tutoring lesson. Throughout my teaching career, I saw many capable students lacking confidence—not because they weren’t intelligent but because they needed lessons tailored to the way they learn. Every student is so unique and a good tutor needs to identify the best teaching style for that student. This is very hard to do in a classroom so I decided to tutor Biology and Chemistry full time.
As a qualified science teacher and former examiner, I’m passionate about helping students understand Biology and Chemistry rather than simply memorising facts. Seeing a student go from feeling overwhelmed to achieving the grades they never thought possible is what motivates me every day. It's genuinely the dream job which is why I teach 7 days a week for around 42 hours! I wouldn't have it any other way!
What makes our tutoring special?
Beyond recorded lessons, I offer free WhatsApp support and essay marking. If you are paying me for tuition my help doesn't just end once the hour is up. Some tutors charge extra for these services but I believe it's not all about the money- helping a child when they are struggling with a concept out of a lesson shouldn't come with a price. This would go against my values.
I have worked with a massive range of students. From those who fund their own lessons to the royal family in Qatar. No matter who the student is they are treated exactly the same and I will go above and beyond to make sure they smash their exams and improve in confidence.
I become so invested in my students and I'm sure they sometimes get annoyed at me as I am constantly chasing homework and asking them questions outside of lessons to make sure they are always remembering exam content. I honestly think this is one the reasons I have over 100 5* reviews.

Today, Top Tuition by Hamzah supports over 100 students across the UK and internationally through personalised online tuition, helping them build confidence, master exam technique and achieve their academic goals. With 107 five-star Google reviews, I’m proud to have helped so many students succeed in GCSE and A Level Biology and Chemistry.
Our focus is on GCSE and A Levels in Biology and Chemistry. My goal is for every student to jump up at least two grades. By doing the homework set and watching back our lessons, this is very possible. Currently working at an A? Why not aim for an A*? There is always room for improvement. If we stop improving we stop growing. I don't want that for my students.
